Hello Guys,
I am planning to utilize AC21. My PD is OCT 2005, EB2 India, I-140 was approved in June 2006 and I-485 filed on 2nd July 2007.
The question I have is if my current employer can do anything, I mean anything at all, now?

Employer can withdraw I-140 even after 180 days. If possible, avoid that scenario. It will cause RFE or, worse, NOID. But ultimately you'll prevail.

Can anyone tell what will be the status of a person who has used AC21 , and does not get the EAD renewal before the existing EAD expires ? Assume 140 has been approved, 180 days has been passed and got the EAD renewal receipt.
I am exactly in same situation. Based on my research, you need to stop working on the day your EAD gets expired if your new EAD has not been approved. EAD renewal receipt notice is not going to help. I would stop working if this situation arrives.

The experience would have to be before the labor filing, in order for it to count. I suggest that you should talk to 3-4 attorneys and get the best possible approach.

What's is Frist's motive in trying to trip the McCain - Kennedy or Specter's Markup? What's his point?
Looks like in Congress, each senior senator is a leader of his own and don't tolerate or cannot see eye to eye on more serious work of fellow senators or congressman. The idea is to trip the whole effort to treat illegal immigrants as humans. In Frist and its ilk's opinion, they want the services of illegal (and legal) immigrants, but this great country doesn't want to give any benefits to the illegal aliens in return. It's is so farcical, only the feudal minded Frists' can do it. Many in this country want 'closure' for this and 'closure' for that, but they deny all relief to these illegal aliens. Our goal of relief from retrogression and to increase visa numbers is unfortunately tied to such 'comprehensive bills'.
I want users of this forum to think about it, ruminate on it and write letters to law makers, newspapers etc.

You may be able lodge a complaint at your district attorneys office. you have to find your local DA's details. If you are from one of the coasts the chances of your DA's office having a section for immigration related complaints is high.

1. Did you opened any SR in TSC around 10/14 or 10/15, We have a group of people who had the same problem in TSC during those days. all the letters replied by the same agent.
2. Find out from attorney if he charges any fee for this. If so please don't go with him.

- How has greencard changed your life after receiving it?
A cautious sense of freedom. Suddenly a lot more opportunities opened up and more employers started to show interest. My Desi employer is suddenly on the receiving end and I dictate the terms. Yes, Still workiing with them after 6 months, but that was my own decision to stick with them. Leaving them next month for a 50% raise in salary :)
- What did you do on the day you received it?
I got up at 7:00 that morning of Dec 3rd, (starting dec 3rd my date was not current anymore) , still half asleep, checked my email and got the shock of my life --"Welcome notice sent..." checked it multiple times then woke up my wife and almost dragged her to the computer and made her read the emails with half closed eyes... Our town recieved record rainfall that day and all streets got flooded, so no work :) Went to a Thai place for dinner that night with another family who are very close friend of ours.
-How did the long wait upset your life?
The feeling of uncertanity was terrible. Had to deal with the employer on a daily basis. They sat on my paperwork for 6 weeks, made me sign a million agreements and still did not file my case in June even though my date was current. I was devastated on the morning of July 2nd and rest is very well known to everyone here.
-How did immigrationvoice help you during this long wait?
What can I say? IV took me from what I mentioned in my last point to where I am right now - Waiting for my paycheck with 50% more and above that without any doubts about it coming :)
- Would you like to continue your support to immigration voice and help others waiting?

- Any advice for everyone?

My wife and I will be flying from Los Angeles. I am already working extra hours to take 2 days off. It will be once in a lifetime opportunity to raise our voice in DC and meet lawmakers.

It looks like guys from AP are running away from all the mess their state is currently in. On one hand there's that YSR's son trying to create havoc for the ruling Govt. His dad and himself being the most corrupt politicians the state has ever seen. On the other hand, there's this filthy congress high command trying to counter him. Its like CORRUPT1 vs CORRUPT2 trying to get the throne so that they can remain CORRUPT. And in the wings are parties like TDP, TRS and PRP --- Really, is there a political party in AP (or even India) where one can call it corrupt free? ha ha
