As long as your orig employer does not complain(which i hardly doubt anyone will do) you are fine, worst case scenario if someone does, then its not a big hurdle to cross with an able attorney's help.
Just to put your mind at ease, i have several friends(not friend-of-a-friend) who had quit at various intervals (1-2-3 months) after getting their GC's and haven't faced a single issue while in process of becoming a citizen.
In short its better to be safe than sorry so these attorneys suggest staying for atleast 180 days.
If that is the case, then why is it that all immigration attorneys are asking us to stay with our current employers citing this "Intent" thing? Are you saying that it's all smoke and no fire?

When I joined this forum it was to look advice on my case and to offer help when I could. No one has ever taken the time to explain what the objectives of the Core are. What I see alot of are #1 asking people to contribute and #2 members complaining about people asking their questions in the wrong area or opening too many threads. Someone needs to explain fully what Core is doing and list ways for the members to help. I would love to help if I can. Unfortunately I don't have a lot to offer financially being that my husband and I are living off one income. I wish I could go to the rally but I cant afford to do that either. There must be some way that I can help- stuffing envelopes or something- anything. I guess this bill passage is a trigger to all skilled workers to do the following.
Option-1: Become Illegal and get a Z visa.
Options-2: Go back to home land and live with dignity and peace of mind. (This is the option I would take). I am thankfully to the congress for helping me to make a decision, rather then wait for life time.
Options-3: Re-apply in merit based system and wait in line for 4 to 5 years, until some other similar bill comes and says you to restart again in some other system.

Even if I back date my marriage (as advised) , How can I get my future wife to USA?. I cannot get her on depend status as my H1-B (I believe) got canceled on approval of GC.
Issues I see,
1. The back date of marriage must match to my stay at India.
2. I did not visit India in the last one year.
3. I applied my I-485 in the August 2008 time. So (I must mention my marriage and dependents in the application). Which I did not . So this does not work.

But why do u have to care about whether IV endorses this or not. If you think this is a great idea, go ahead and send the flowers urself.
I know alot of my friends, who do not care or know about IV, but have got the email chain and sent flowers on their own
So Don't make excuses. Send it on you own
It'll be nice if the core endorsed it. We members do contribute and participate in all campaigns when core asks. It'll be great if the core lets the ideas bubble up from members too! That'll make it a two way street.

Wow, these have to be the best pixel art designs I have seen created. I voted for soul's because it just simple, angled. I also really liked all the things going on in eilsoe's graphic. If it wasn't for the wall eilsoe (I like cool slanted, twisted things) I would have def voted for your cool graphic. It was more of a tie between both of you guys really =)

I would like to know How to file a complaint about labor fraud? I just found out that my employer didn't file 485 for me and instead he used the labor for someone else. Is there anyway I can file a complaint? I have no other option except to wait until the dates are current again. I paid all the expenses for labor, 140 and 485.

Anti-immigrants prowl on IV as members. If they get an hint, you are meeting any Rep./Senator on some day, they'll bombard that office with phone calls, E-mails and faxes same day or next day. It will in effect nullify all your efforts. It has happened in the past and it's sure to happen in the future.
So, please excercise due caution. Do not share information with the folks you don't know very well. These kind of actions are best suited to be carried out in your state chapter mailing-lists, where members are screened before joining. IV forums being public anyone can create a fake id in half an hour or one hour. It's not secure to carry these types of actions.
