For EB3 one needs to show 4 years of degree and 2 years of experiance. Normally every degree year is equivalent to 3 years of experiance. I don't know how USCIS sees diploma. In your case a very strong evaluation certificate is needed.

By the way, I work for a insurance company and we have customer service dept. Once one of our client called and said she is having some issues with our website. The customer service rep could not resolve the case so she conferenced me in. I asked the client to press F5 to refresh the browser. She said her browser was not refreshed even after pressing F5. After serveral minutes I realized that she was pressing F and then 5 seperately. The story continued with that client for several minutes and I accepted my defeat at the end.
Another time when I called the charter company for some cable issue, they asked what OS I have. I replied I have windows on my PC and they did not understand. So she asked "Do you have windows or PC?". I said "I have windows on my PC". I thought she is funny. But when I went to the charter site for cable connection registration, they had similar question in their website too. Then I realized, in US windows = OS from microsoft and PC= MAC.
Man u guys are faaaaaaaaaaaast!!!!
BTW, talking abt F5...I have lost the white ink on the F5 key..its all blank now.....seriously not kidding, and also some dead skin on my index finger.......cheeeeeeeers!!!

I had been lived in Toronto for last 4 years.
Frankly speaking, Toronto is a very good city. I feel it probably can match up with Chicago, or 50% of NYC.
Multi-culture is even more obvious than in NYC.
But keep in mind that there are less high buildings than some super citys like NYC.
When talking about job opportunity, it is better to compare city with city, not country with country because actually once you settled down in one place, you probably can not go hunting jobs in another side of country.
So, the job opportunity # in GTA (Great Toronto Area) is about 75% of Chicago or 1/3 of NYC.
Many people told stories about immigrants can not find job in Canada. That is not true. The truth is that most of immigrants go from USA get job within half year even in 2001. I admit that some immigrants go direct from their homeland do have hard time to get job in Canada because of lacking English communication ability and North America work experience. For people who have been worked in USA for some time, finding a job in Canada is almost guaranteed.
The thing I don't like in Canada is that the workload is light and business is quite slow. So many lazy colleagues and from time to time union threaten to strike (for raise salary). Lots of our taxes are wasted for this huge government's unnecessary spending.
As of discrimination, I don't think there is too much. I feel there is some, but not very obvious. Part of the reason I think is because lots of immigrants actually live better than average traditional Canadian. It is true that many local teenth only finish high school and enjoy work as labor. You could say that is jealous.

No FP notices. Spoke with the lawyer today morning and he mentioned that as the FPs are elgible for 15 months, they issue the FP when they "think" that they shall be able to finish the case in that 15 month time period.
My EADs say FP not available, but I believe that it is not a big concern.
Now that my EB3 PD is Sept 2001, I am hoping to get the FPs sooner rather than later.
As for I-485 Reciept Notice's receipt date, will check with lawyer again and update you folks on that.

Quebec is a bit more conservative than Ontario (mostly coz of Catholic influences). Montreal is a fine place and one would be able to get along without knowing too much French (anywhere else in QC it's a different story). If you have long term plans for Canada, it's a good thing to know French.. as bi-lingual folks are given preference is many jobs (even outside QC). Montreal has an image of not being friendly to non french speaking folks - hence many who migrate to Canada end up in Toronto. So that may be a competitive advantage for someone moving to Montreal!

It is so easy
Take a good picture in good lighting with regular digital camera
Crop the picture to square size as needed
Open it in photoshop -- make picture package - select 2x2 of 20 pics -- and save it.
Again crop it with the ratio or 4x6 selecting six pictures.
Now u have a picture which is 4x6 in size with total of six 2x2 pp size pics in it.
go to walmart - at kiosk print it... for 24 cents per copy

Take a good picture in good lighting with regular digital camera
Crop the picture to square size as needed
Open it in photoshop -- make picture package - select 2x2 of 20 pics -- and save it.
Again crop it with the ratio or 4x6 selecting six pictures.
Now u have a picture which is 4x6 in size with total of six 2x2 pp size pics in it.
go to walmart - at kiosk print it... for 24 cents per copy

I met Mr. Murali in a seminar arranged by IAFPE in Raleigh, NC. (I had some role in arranging the event.) He gave me his business card in the event and we shook hands.
After a few months Raleigh News and Observer reporter Karen Reeves contacted Mr. Murali for a story on EB immigration problems and he directed this reporter to me through IAFPE. And then I directed Karen to IV.
More than one year passed after this event and I changed employer. I was not sure about the letter that I had written to USCIS about employer change and I called Murali's office and got his appointment.
This was after the fact of changing employers. Murali went through the documents and told me not to worry and I most probably would recieve an RFE. That I did. He did not charge me a penny.
Then in last one year I really went through trauma of two RFEs and complete insensitivity and arrogance of my company's lawyer. I wrote e-mail to Murali three times in last one year and everytime he got back to me in one business day. All this at no charge at all.
I owe Murali a lot for his moral support and legal advice to me from time to time.

No. The way I understand it, the new employer is offering you a permanent job in the same/similar job classification. So you work for the new employer in a permanent capacity after you receive the green card.
I have a question....Green card is for future employment.In that case,once your I-485 got approved ,you need to go and work for your original employer who sponsered your green card. Is that right? Is that the same case if someone uses AC21?

I would suggest to marry a girl who is in USA with EB3-I 2007 or later PD, that way your marriage problem will be solved and you are helping a poor sole.
Just kidding man... don't make me communist by giving REDs. :)
Even if I back date my marriage (as advised) , How can I get my future wife to USA?. I cannot get her on depend status as my H1-B (I believe) got canceled on approval of GC.
Issues I see,
1. The back date of marriage must match to my stay at India.
2. I did not visit India in the last one year.
3. I applied my I-485 in the August 2008 time. So (I must mention my marriage and dependents in the application). Which I did not . So this does not work.
See the troubles I have now.
P.S: I did not want to cheat USA Immigration Dept. Not a good practice

oh God! all of you self-righteous prigs! get a life and give this person a break. He didnt like something, so came out and expressed it, and very politely, i might add.
