After reading what Mr Mark had to say i must say i m furious but at the same time i understand what he is trying to do viz Misguide!
Folks like Krikorian thrive on donations made by misguided people (in the name of not-for profit and enticing them with tax exemptions). You don't have to be an "Einstein" to figure that out but you have to be at least EB3 category :D

It is that time again, the eager wait for the next month's Visa bulletin. It is almost like a monthly ritual for many.
Although there is no clear logic to the movements, there are folks in the line that hold some hope that this might be the one that will get them closer to the GC counter. (happens every month ! :p)
Since predicting VB dates is as close to pulling stuff out of thin air. My gaze in the crystal ball tells EB2-I and EB2-C to be the same: Feb 05 (hoping for a quarterly spill over in Jan 2010 :) )
As for Eb3 even the crystal ball turns foggy. I very much wish EB3-I sees some forward movement in the upcoming bulletin; may be at par with or at least close to ROW/China/Mex/Phil.

The anchor started off the interview by making a reference to "hi tech workers" and that some of these folks were in the British terror plot !! "Why are you filing the lawsuit when your client can apply for the GC in Oct?" !!Anyway, the attorney was quite articulate in explaining the issue. Guess who followed the attorney ... Rep Tom Tancredo who called this a "minor inconvenience" before stating he wants all immigration to be halted!!

Our lawmakers are unaware of the issues that affect us and it is really upto us (each one of us) to educate them.
The most important thing that somebody can do for themselves is to take an appointment with your congresswo/man's office and talk to them. It is not that difficult. Just 1 hour of your time.

Mark Kirkoreiean's (or whatever his name is) thesis is that not everyone who gets a green card through EB is a genius, and that is not good for America.
Along same lines, I would like to ask, Mark or whoever in anti-immigration camp,
there are only 1M (may be little less) skilled workers looking for immigration and you have problem with that because all of them are not THE BRIGHTEST one, okay... well first understand, for THE BRIGHTEST we have EB1 which is working great. Now in America there is a lot of work which needs experienced and highly skilled worker and we have EB2 for that, apart from that we still have a lot of work which requires hitech skilled worker and for that we have Eb3. So by the definition system has already identified the need and have representation for those.
And secondly you have problem with those who came legally and are highly skilled and have followed all the rules since day 1, counts less that 1 million, you are not willing to give them GC on other hand there are 12M (actually 20 M) who can't even write their names in English and everybody is ready to give them GC even the president of US is ready.
Doesn't that give signal that US is pro illegal and anti-legal immigration.... think about it

It was filed @ NSC on July 6th, ---> CSC -----> NSC. I got my LUd on 09/21 last on our 485.

We sent an email to CISOmbudsman.Publicaffairs@dhs.gov and they gave the update, even though the online status didn't update for more than a week.
The Ombudsman office gave a response with in one business day.
Found out from the Senator's office that my case has been approved. Attorney was able to call and confirm. No change in online status though.
E-filed on May 5th

I am in 4'th year of H1b. I filed for I 140 and got approved in May 2006.
After that I changed my company. My new company is going to apply for my GC In jun.
I know that I can use previous priority date from employer 1. But my question is with this new CIR bill Will my case be considered under old system?
Please help.

This is a very valid point. If employer or his lawyer asks more money in fees for filing I485 it is always better to go thro employer if he files I485 promptly. But if the delay is intention of the employer then use your own Lawyer.
Desi companies - HIGHLY ADVISABLE TO USE UR OWN LAWYER AND DONT LINK LAWYER AND EMPLOYER - THEY HAVE TENDENCIES TO BECOME BUDDIES BASED ON BUSINESS PROMISES.
TAKE ALL DOCUMENTS FROM EMPLOYER AND GIVE TO LAWYER. U MAINTAIN UPPER HAND WITH LAWYER.
485 RFE IS COMMON FOR EMPLOYER- LAWYER COMBO OF DESI COMPANIES.
Lawyer needs money and employer needs prolongation.
With rules changing and with CIR reintroduction and with Durbin Grassley amendments - Desi companies will be having tough business in future - they will try to retain consultants in whatever way possible. So beware. These people are sweet in their talk - but they do everything opposite to what they talk.
This maybe applicable to non desi companies also - this dates becoming current is an acid test for employer's genuinity.
So be cautious - watchful and get things done in smart way. 180 days down the lane the story is different.
