Hi All,
Need some piece of advice. My H1B is expiring on 07-15-08, On July 2nd my I-140 was filed in premium processing. My LC is not 365 days old, so i need I-140 to apply for 3 year extension of my H1. Since it takes max of 15 calander days for I-140 to go through it may protentially get approved on July 18th and the approval may arrive in a week after that. Since I dont have a basis for requesting H1 extension , I am wondering how I can stay in status from 15th July till i get I-140 approved.
Any ideas?

As long as you return before the stamping expires on your passport, you are fine. Just carry the new H1B Approval with you and 2-3 recent paystub and a job reference letter from your employer. While entering US, show the new approval and make sure your I-94 has the correct employer name and expiry date. Sometimes the officer makes mistake :)

I have a request / concern / what ever you would say.
Please do not cirtize if you do not like the idea, just ignore and leave the thread.
There are so many people comming to IV for other experts guidance on different things mainly on H1B status, AC21 status, AP, FP, EAD and H4 to EAD, .....
Why don't you create a general guide lines or rules or do's and don't or QA's for each topic, so that each member or visitor who come to IV can atleast go through them before asking or posting quesitons.
You can create a survery for different kinds of questions people / members / visitors might ask or have fore each topic before creating the thread so that we can have a pool of questions and answers for each topic from experts or attorney answered. (you might say we have recordings from attorney Prashanti Reddy, but it would be good if we have some thing which can be referred easily i.e., typed.
These are just some of my thoughts, it can or cannot be implemented. It depeneds on IV admins/Gurus/Experts on this forum.
Gurus, please provide your thoughts.

The RFE was for biographic information of the passport (basically a photo identity matching the name). It appears that my lawyer may have missed sending separate copies of it for each application (485/765/131). Anyway I sent color copies of the passport pages as well as driver license. The status for the application changed to "Response to request for evidence received on 10/09/2007 and processing resumed".
As far as your FP notices, I have read that others have been able to get the notices after calling the Service Center customer service. You might want to consider that.

Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.

The RFE talks about the office space.
Currently my employer has 3 employees and the available space is for 3 people. One of them is an Account Manager and basically the Manager has adopted the HOT DESK philosophy; so, basically the current work space is ok to accommodate me.
Can you please help to answer this request?

I don't believe leaving the company that you had signed an I-9 form with have any impact on your GC app as long as you have a same or a similar job lined up if and when you do get an RFE regarding the same.
As mentioned several times, GC is for future employment and you can switch employers as many times as you want under AC21 (of course you don't want to go overboard with switching employers every few months either :)).
I hope this helps - again this is my understanding of the law and not a legal opinion.

I'm not sure the need of physical office for GC, but for H1 transfer and extns you may get RFE for office photos, lease agreement (notarised copy) etc.

I just emails yesterday stating that my EAD card is sent to production, but they have asked for initial evidence on 485. Is it possible to review 485 without looking at the 140? I am not sure what that query is, but really hoping that it is not something serious. I've already waited for 16 months for my Labor to get approved. Please share your experiences, suggestions etc. regarding this.
