IV is doing whatever it can. That includes increasing Visa numbers and allowing 485 applications even if Visa numbers are not available.
However IV cannot do it unless we ALL help IV in this cause. And that means contributing money, participating in IV Action Items, joining State Chapters etc.
Why don't you guys join your State Chapters and help IV in helping you?

GC is an american dream and like any american dream it is just a dream that remains a dream for most of the ordinary people.Even if you get a gc it wouldn't make u a millionare.
Instead think about starting some good business and forever get out the clutches of the "law of ordinary people" which states that if you are a reqular person u'll continue to be so in any society untill you die and will find some way to make your life miserable.Hence if not GC tomorrow u'll complain about money and later missing India etc etc

NSC probably sent applications to CSC for data entry, I am a july 2 filer, my EAD(I131)/AP(I765) and all receipt notices were sent to me by CSC all are WAC### numbers which means its from CSC, then they sent just the AOS (I485) back to NSC saying they do not have Jurisdiction on the AOS application (Logic behind this is - because my I140 was approved by NSC, I have a LIN### on I140 application).
This transfers happens in the 4 centers all the time no need to worry, there is delay associated though... :(
Anywayz all said and done... I have not received my FP notice as yet...My Receipt Notice date : Aug23

I wanted to find about pre approved or pre adjudicated case, We have been hearing the same more often in the forum, so out of curiosity i opened a Service Request.
I kind of have a good relation ship with the former employer, worked with them for 4 years. I just called my company HR and he said he does not know my name is on withdrawn list but he will check the list and let me know tomorrow.
Is it just out of curiosity you inquired about your pending 485?
Do you have a good relationship with your former employer? If so, you can ask them and verify if they withdrew your I-140...in any case that should not matter as long as you have passed the 6 months period after applying I-485.

No It's Employment Verification Letter which is supposed to be issued by your current employer stating that you are still their employee, earning this much at this title bla bla. Experience letter is something which shows your experience, the number of year worked in the company. Moreover, experience letter (EXPL) is needed for the old companies.
As far as I know, in I-485 you need just EVL and not EXPL.

I think many of consultants those came here with small companies might not got payment initially until you the project ataleast for few weeks. That period of time is the eligibility for illegal status.
Well they will easily find out from your SSN number if one is on payroll or not. I am seriously looking into this matter of getting illegal and many of my friends agree. Once the bill passes in its current form we should get advise from a good lawyer to convert status from legal to illegal. It sounds so insane when I say changing for legal to illegal..but that is the hit thing these days.

Nice to know that you started the process. Did you send the job transfer letter to USCIS along with H1B transfer or you just did H1b transfer (with plan to send the letter later).
In a way it�s nice that USCIS is tracking all applications together (H1B transfer, I140, I485 for a candidate). It atleast gives the confidence that they are tracking all together and may not get any RFE�s to give them copy of I140 or such.
Please share any updates.

The discussion seems to be focused on getting a certification to add to your resume. I am a PMP too, have delivered several small projects.
I think whether you are a PM or a developer, PMP is a good step to understanding and appreciating the business value of what you are doing as a techie.
It is not just a certification but a way of thinking.
It applies to everything in your life not just your work......

I too thought that it could be a hoax call. But When I discussed with my employer and came to know the name of the person who called me is same as that of person who visited our employer 2 months back, then I realized that it is not a hoax call.
But I really don't understand what was the purpose and why I got such call and why he did not show up. Till now there is no communication from the officer.

It's really strange the surge in non-legal issues threads..
If the poster had any genuine hope of getting help she wouldn�t be posting it on a forum for foreigners who obviously have no lobbying power and if we did we will be using it for ourselves first.
Somebody is trying to establish an association between us and drug and other law breaking criminals..
Time to put these red dots to a good use.. Get�er boys :)
Lets get over with all the "conspiracy theories", times are tough and people are getting knocked down faster than 10 pins in a bowling ally, IV's brand value is way more than what it use to be, hence traffic/people come in here for redress-els, in no way does the name Immigration Voice directly tell anyone its for Legal based Green Card issues, so people come in here for all and any immigration based issues.
