You can find out by calling USCIS. There is thread here teaching tricks to get to talk to a immigration/field officer. If you can do that, you can ask him/her, and may get the answer.
By saying they wouldn't adjudicate your case becase its PD is not current, I meant they wouldn't approve your case. But they will look at your case. If something is wrong, they'll correct it or send you a RFE, both of which will result in updates. If everything is all right but only your PD is not current, they will "put in suspense" your case, which will result in an update too, and send your case to some on hold shelf. When your PD is current, they'll approve your case.

Does anyone know if I require a transit visa if traveling to India via Canada by Lufthansa.
I have a AP, used to have a Canadian visit visa which expired in Dec 2010.
I have traveled on AP via Dubai using United and did not have a issue.
I am traveling next weekend, I will appreciate your reply.

Hi,
I will be done with my second master's this July 29. I have two months grace period to leave the country as I already used my OPT after my first master's. I have a job offer and they are willing to do my H1B which starts from October 2011. But my two months grace period will end this september 29. If my H1B is filed in September under Premium processing, will I be in status or out of status for those two days. Did any one face similar problem before. If so, can you please give me the solution?

I'm also seriously planning to file on my own. Well, there is no law that stops us, but certainly needs some tips from experienced people.
Infact as per the checklist, i have all the documents except a letter from employer. That i can get anytime. my big question is are there any other documents that need to be put together (which are not in checklist)

It is absolutely feasible to do this on your own. After all you are well educated by definition of your H1B visa. The only thing you need from your employer is the letter of employment and you will need a public notary to notarize the affidavit of support.
The rest you can put together yourself. Just filed for my husband and myself at the beginning of May, fingerprints done on June 4th. Going well so far.

I was sarcastic, if you didn't get it. INS/government always had monopoly over giving out of GCs(the constitution guarantees it for them). They never had competition about it. You're kidding yourself to think that you can sue them on anti-trust laws. Some other laws may be but definitely not anti-trust laws.

Thanks for your reply. By B1 Visa, I meant that I will go to client side and understand the project and meanwhile my employer will file my H1 Transfer. and on B1 I wont get paid.
I have seen the giuys who come on B1 from their Indian Offices for 1-2 month period.
Suggestions are really appreciated since client is not agreeing to extend the joining date and that the only criticality I have in my situation.
Any Experience is highly appreciated.
